The Anaheim Ducks are kicking their season off with a major test. If you look at last year’s season, you know this is a team looking to make some moves and keep their rebuild going forward. They are full of strong young talent that gained plenty of experience last year.
In 2025–26, the team was able to make it to the postseason after going 43-33-6 for the season. They had to go on the road for a postseason series, but were able to win in six games over Edmonton. Then, they had to face this same Golden Knights team in the next round, losing in six. Can they exact revenge tonight?

The Vegas Golden Knights don’t have the same youth movement that the Ducks have. In fact, they have a team that has never really had to rebuild. They are deep, balanced, and have no overwhelming weakness. In their franchise history, they’ve only missed the postseason once and have made it to the Stanley Cup Finals three times, winning once.
Last year, they made it, but lost. After yet another great regular season, the team opened their playoffs against Utah, going six games. Then they took down the Ducks in six, as previously mentioned. The Avalanche were the best team in hockey during the regular season, but they lost in four games to the Golden Knights. Vegas lost in six to the Hurricanes, and now look to find their way back this year.
Don’t miss it when the puck drops tonight as the Ducks look for revenge and the Golden Knights start their march back to the Stanley Cup Finals. Underdog is offering you $100 in bonus bets when you place a wager on the Ducks vs. Golden Knights using promo code FOXNEWS.
