Coming into a new season, each team has a very different list of hopes and goals. With as many offseason moves as we saw this year, almost every team looks different. The Nets haven’t looked great in their first few games, and the Celtics have been a bit of a mixed bag. Let’s take a look at some of the moves and what has happened so far.
The Nets’ big addition this offseason was Julius Randle. Last season, the team was really built around Michael Porter Jr., and he did well, but the team struggled. They traded away Nic Claxton and drafted Mikel Brown Jr. with the sixth overall pick. Brown hasn’t gotten too many minutes so far, with only 20 minutes in each of the first two. He has shown a desire to shoot, but with Porter and Randle, it’s unlikely he will be the first option on the team.
The Celtics mostly swapped players instead of adding guys. The team decided that it was time to split up Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The two guys have been asked repeatedly about it in the media. Paul George replaced Brown in the lineup and has looked good so far. Boston also added Mitchell Robinson to the roster.
